BRIEF BIO
Marcia is a certified Personal Trainer and NZQA multi-skilled exercise instructor. She moved to New Zealand just over two years ago, and her career in fitness has grown naturally from a long-standing interest in health, movement and the human body. Sport has always been a central part of her life, from running and swimming to group fitness, and now coaching others.
Marcia’s background in biology education strongly influences the way she coaches. She enjoys helping clients understand their bodies and the purpose behind their training, so exercise feels safe, logical and empowering rather than confusing or intimidating. Whether working one-on-one or in a group setting, she aims to create a calm, supportive environment where people feel comfortable, respected and capable.
She works with clients of all ages and experience levels, offering personal training as well as group-based sessions including HIIT, Les Mills classes and 60+ programmes. What Marcia enjoys most is supporting people to build confidence in their movement, improve technique and develop sustainable habits that carry over into everyday life.
Marcia brings a high level of care and attention to her coaching, from thoughtful session planning to clear, practical explanations, ensuring clients understand not just what they are doing, but why they are doing it.
Outside the gym, Marcia is also a qualified First Aider, an active Surf Life Guard and part of the IRB crew. Staying calm under pressure, supporting others and working as part of a team are values that strongly shape the way she coaches.
